Director, Travel Agency Sales

Job Description:
Gondola Resorts is searching for a Director of Travel Agency Sales to oversee and expand the company’s extensive network of travel agencies and advisors both within the United States and internationally.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee Gondola Resorts' key travel relationships with Virtuoso, AMEX, and Signature Travel Network.
  • Develop and execute sales and marketing plans with consortia and travel agencies to drive sales growth.
  • Represent Gondola Resorts at various industry events, such as Virtuoso Travel Week and Signature Travel Network’s annual conference.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and product training sessions—both in person and virtually—for travel advisors and agencies.
  • Plan and conduct travel agency sales missions, both with and without resort partners.

Job Description

The Job
You will be responsible for fielding a high volume of traveler inquiries and providing our customers with an unparalleled booking experience. You will serve as a persuasive consultant for prospective renters; helping them find the vacation rental that best matches their needs.

The perfect candidate for this position is comfortable with high volume phone sales, is an enthusiastic self-starter with a passion for stunning customers with great service, and a desire to overachieve individual and team goals. We support travelers 7 days a week and this position requires flexibility. Our hours are 8 am - 5 pm, 7 days a week, and holidays. You will work 3-4 days per week that can vary in start and end time, but it will include a minimum of one weekend day work.

Responsibilities

  • Lightning-fast response to a high volume of traveler booking inquiries via phone and email

  • Convert inquiries over the phone by utilizing your sales skills - we love one call closes!

  • Work across multiple booking platforms and can dexterously move between operating systems

  • Meet and exceed individual and team goals

  • Manage lead follow-up using our relationship management software (CRM)

Group Sales Rep

Job Description

Manager is responsible for generating group revenue in across eight lines of business at our resort. Primary responsibilities include solicitation, evaluation and contracting group business in addition to conducting site inspections for potential business opportunities. Ensure proper and timely turnover to ensure for quality service delivery. The position is responsible for achieving revenue and room night goals across the resort. Work with the sales team to maximize the revenue potential of the property by effectively utilizing the meeting space and up selling each business opportunity. Drive customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience. Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Solicit, close and contract group business using strong negotiating skills and creative selling techniques.

  • Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers through sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, Tradeshows, etc

  • Develop relationships within the meetings and conventions community to expand customer base for future group business opportunities

  • Work collaboratively with National Sales Office and Regional team to ensure the property needs are being achieved and the sales efforts are complementary

  • Partner with the operations team to conduct site inspections that focus on the customer’s needs and highlight the key features of the property.
