What is the Gondola Resorts Travel Agent Program?

“Mountain-Mayhem” is Gondola Resorts’ travel agent discount program, which allows registered travel agents to book special rates at Gondola Resorts properties in Colorado. "Basically, it’s a way to let our valued travel agent community stay in Gondola Resorts' properties at a discounted rate so they can promote them to their individual guests and groups", says Sarah Taylor Director of Customer Service at Gondola Resorts' corporate office in Denver.

The Mountain-Mayhem program is recognized as the industry’s premier travel advisor familiarization rate program and is offered as an exclusive benefit to qualified travel consultants who have successfully registered with Gondola Resorts as an authorized travel agent and employed by a valid ARC/IATA/TIDS/CLIA agency.

Mountain-Mayhem rates allow agents to familiarize themselves with Gondola Resorts’ properties and brands to better recommend them to their customers. The Mountain-Mayhem rate is a yieldable discounted rate that varies by brand and is subject to availability. Qualifying advisors are eligible to book Mountain-Mayhem stays at all six resort locations in Colorado including Aspen, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, Snowmass and Vail Resorts.

FAQ's

Working with Gondola Resorts is straightforward and lucrative. Below are answers to common inquiries about selling Gondola Resorts products and collaborating with Gondola Resorts.
  • WHAT DOES SKI-IN SKI-OUT REALLY MEAN? The term "ski-in ski-out" means the vacation rental condo that you rent has access to the ski slopes right outside the building.  Similarly, "walk-to-ski" means the property is within a short walk to ski lifts or the gondola, between 50 and 400 yards.
  • IS IT POSSIBLE TO BOOK A SKI-IN SKI-OUT PROPERTY IF MY CLIENT IS ON A TIGHT BUDGET? While feasible in certain destinations, ski-inski-out convenience typically comes at a higher cost. Understanding your client's budget helps determine the most suitable accommodation type.
  • SHOULD I BOOK A VEHICLE OR GROUND TRANSFER FOR MY CLIENTS? Consider the resort's proximity to the airport and the size of the travel party when deciding on vehicle or ground transfers. Many resorts are easily navigable on foot or offer efficient public transportation.
  • WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO BOOK? HOW EARLY CAN I BOOK? For preferred travel dates and accommodations, particularly during peak periods like December Holidays/New Years, Presidents Day week, and spring break, book as early as possible. Some properties release availability later in the summer; your Gondola Resorts travel advisor can manage early booking requests 12-months in advance.
  • MY CLIENTS CLAIM TO HAVE FOUND A BETTER OFFER THAN ONE GIVEN BY GONDOLA RESORTS. WHAT DO I DO? Contact your Gondola Resorts agent with the details of the competing offer, and we'll strive to match or surpass it. Vacation rental prices change frequently.
  • WHAT ITEMS ARE COMMISSIONABLE? Commissionable items include lodging, rental cars, ground transfers, lift tickets, ski rentals, select ski lessons, some activities and travel insurance.
  • DO SKIERS AND SNOWBOARDERS USE DIFFERENT LIFT TICKETS? No, both skiers and snowboarders use the same lift ticket, which can be included in the package and is commissionable.
  • WHAT SHOULD I DO IF MY CLIENTS WOULD LIKE TO RENT SKIING OR SNOWBOARDING EQUIPMENT? Simply ascertain your clients' skill level (beginner, intermediate, advanced), and your Gondola Resorts travel advisor can arrange appropriate equipment rental, with commission earned on the sale. For added convenience, equipment can be delivered to their lodging.
  • WHEN DO I RECEIVE MY COMMISSION CHECK? You can expect to receive your commission check approximately 21 days after your client's travel has concluded.
  • IS MY COMMISSION PROTECTED IF MY CLIENTS CANCEL THEIR TRIP? Yes, travel agent commissions are safeguarded if the trip is canceled within the 100% cancellation penalty timeframe.
