Aspen Tubing
Aspen Snowmass has a new tube park at Snowmass. The multiple lanes are lift served and carved into The Meadows at Elk Camp, with lighting facilities to illuminate the runs at night during Ullr Nights festivities and on special holidays (see below). Tubing at Snowmass starts in December and is open every day through the winter season in concert with winter ski lift operations. Tubing lanes can also be made available for special parties or events. Call for more information, (888-295-2468) Cost $32 per person, all ages. Purchase tubing tickets at any Aspen Snowmass ticket office, by phone, or at the top of the Elk Camp Gondola. Limited inventory; advance purchase recommended. Must be at least 36" tall to ride. Aspen Snow Cat Dinners at Cloud Nine Bistro
You’re invited to a cozy cabin high in the Rocky Mountains for an unmatched dining experience. Cloud Nine Alpine Bistro — located midway up Aspen Highlands — has become a legendary restaurant for its authentic Alpine atmosphere, elegant cuisine and renowned après ski scene. With views of the iconic Maroon Bells — the American West’s most recognizable, postcard-perfect mountain peaks — and a cozy wood burning fireplace, dining here is an unforgettable experience. DATES Wednesday and Thursday nights 6–10 pm through April 6, 2017. Private dinners can be booked on any available night throughout the winter season. Cloud Nine closes for the season on April 9. PRICE & DETAILS The price per person includes a snowcat ride to and from the restaurant and a four-course meal. Cost is $145 for adults, $95 for children ages 7 to 11 (prices do not include beverages, tax and gratuity). However, due to the length of the snowcat ride and evening, it is not recommended for children. Guests meet at 5:45pm at the Aspen Highlands base area, and enjoy a mug of beer. The snowcat departs at 6 pm and you will arrive at the restaurant at approximately 6:30 pm. The snowcat departs the bistro at approximately 10 pm (or earlier if requested for private functions) and arrives back at the base at approximately 10:30 pm. Guests may park on the upper level of the Aspen Highlands parking area. Seating is limited to 50 guests. Public dinners have an 18 person minimum, no minimum for private dinners.
