Vail Mountain Trail Maps (Winter)
With 193 total ski trails, maps are very useful. Using the Vail Mountain trail map to help you navigate your ski adventure means you'll be in control all the time. Also, these maps will certainly help visitors plan an enjoyable and safe day. Vail Mountain has three separate sections including the "Front-side", Blue Sky Basin and the "Back Bowls". The sections cover a total of 5,289 acres of pristine national forest. The longest ski run at Vail is Riva Ridge at four miles.
Vail Blue Sky Basin Map
Blue Sky Basin issues a skiing experience like nothing else on Vail Mountain. It is where you will truly find nature, where you will feel small on our huge mountain. To put things in perspective, Blue Sky Basin is located a whole 7 miles from Vail Village! After much deliberation and planning, Blue Sky Basin opened in 2000, and provides a backcountry type experience of mostly open meadows and glades. | |

Vail Mongolia and Siberia Bowl Map
Interested in hitting virgin snow only serviced by a Poma lift? Try the Siberia and Mongolia Bowls to experience some wide-open skiing and boarding terrain. Keep in mind, this area is strictly for expert skiers only! This where you will find the best powder skiing on Vail Mountain. Note to remember...go fast at the bottom to avoid pushing. The catwalk can be slow moving, and you will do yourself a favor by keeping your speed. Get away from everybody by hitting these areas early in the morning. | |

Vail Northeast Bowl Map
You have arrived at Vail`s Northeast Bowl! Experience the exhilaration of skiing and riding one of the most south after stretches of terrain in Colorado. This bowl delivers on various levels including ski terrain for beginners, intermediates and experts. The ski lift is fast and one of the very first lifts to open in Vail. A new ski lift that services six guests reduced lift lines and gets you to the top almost 30% faster than the previous lift. Vail Game Creek Bowl Map
Game Creek Bowl - A favorite of the locals! If you are looking for quick access to great bowl skiing and challenging blue-rated terrain, this is it. Of course, there are green-rated trails and more advanced runs, also. Game Creek has a little of everything for everybody. At the top of ski lift #7 views are abundant in all directions including breathtaking scenery of the Beaver Creek ski resort and more back bowl views in the opposite direction. | |
Location: | Use "Gondola One" to start. Second, use ski lift #3, go to skiers right upon departure. From Lionshead Village use The Eagle Bahn Gondola. Exit the gondola, follow Game Trail to the base of ski lift #7. |
Vail China Bowl
China Bowl coined its name from its head wall which is visible from the top of the Orient Express ski lift. It`s a huge limestone rock formation resembles the Great Wall of China. China Bowl provides intermediate and expert riders with wide open terrain as well as groomed ski runs. Get ready for some "steeps" and advanced blue terrain with some occasional groomers at Poppy fields ski run. | |

Vail Sun Up and Sun Down Bowl
Sun Up and Sun Down Bowl has a combination of open ski terrain in all directions. Based on its location, it will be the first bowls you arrive at from the south. Thanks to the the recent upgrade to the ski lifts, guests will now enjoy more time skiing while taking in stunning panoramic views and less time on the chairlift. | |
