Vail Summer Activities
Come to Vail Colorado for the winter, but stay for the summer. Vail summer activities are endless and includes the new Epic Discovery experiences. Vail EPIC Discovery
Vail Mountain has a brand new summer experience. Introducing EPIC Discovery! Its sort of a Disneyland of the Rocky Mountains, with summertime in the mountains becoming the new norm. EPIC Discovery is a wonderland of summer fun including adventure courses, zip lines, a mountain "roller coaster", tubing hill, climbing wall, bungee trampoline, and so much more.
It`s a mountain of excitement that excites and offers thrills for the entire family.
Activities on the mountain open in June and stay open until September.
Vail Golf Courses
You have arrived at some of the best golfing in Colorado. From challenging courses to amazing mountain scenery, the Vail golf courses offer something for every skill level. Additionally, guests have the choice of several public courses and a few private courses. Playing some of the private courses are not problem. Guests only need to call Gondola Resorts and book lodging at specific hotels or clubs. Choose from Red Sky Ranch, Eagle Vail, Willow Creek, Vail Valley, and Sonnenalp Club.
Vail Mountain Biking
The Vail Valley is very well known for its hundreds of biking trails as well as world class kiing.
It`s a great destination for mountain bikers of all ages, giving everybody something to see and enjoy. These days, 27 trails for varying abilities, 46.5 miles in all that crisscross the towering mountains north side and, in a few locations, lead to the Legendary Back Bowls. Vail`s trails are very much a cross-country experience rather than steep downhill, expert riding. A total of 19 trails offer only descending riders, or "freeriding", while the remaining trails have two-way traffice.
Vail Summer Gondola & Chairlift Rides
A ride in the Vail Gondola is an experience of a lifetime! Choose from either the Eagle Bahn or Gondola One. Both are located at either Lionshead Village or Vail Village respectivly. Again, this summer all kids can ride the Vail Mountain gondola free with the purchase of an adult or senior lift ticket. Once at the top of the mountain, the fun doesn`t stop there. Guests can purchase a ticket or a day pass to experience Vail`s signature summer experience called Epic Discovery. This pass allows you to experience the summer Alpine Coaster, zipline, playground and more.
